Mayor Rahm Emanuel has asked Little League officials to reverse their decision to strip the Chicago champions of their U.S. title Wednesday.

Emanuel fought for JRW in a lengthy phone call with Little League International President and CEO Stephen Keener Wednesday in effort to have them change their mind, the mayor's office confirmed.

The mayor made it clear that by stripping the team of the title, the league was making the children the perpetrators, when they are the victims, a source confirms.

"The normal and natural reaction is to be heartbroken, but I ask everybody to remember how much these kids showed their real character," Emanuel said earlier Wednesday during a sit-down interview with Telemundo Chicago.

Hollywood / Toluca Lake, CA: Suspect with dog on his lap dies after Wild Chase and Standoff - Driving through security gates and even knocking down a bystander, a truck driver led police on a wild chase through the Valley

A suspect who led police on a wild chase through the San Fernando Valley ending in a standoff today is dead, police confirmed.

A man in utility truck led police on a chase in the San Fernando Valley today before coming to a stop on an Arleta street and beginning a standoff, but the motorist was spotted slumped over in the driver’s seat with blood coming from his nose and neck.

A SWAT team was called to the scene on Terra Bella Street south of the Golden State (5) Freeway, where dozens of officers were positioned behind the truck and even on an adjacent rooftop.

The chase began about 11:35 a.m. in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill area, said LAPD spokesman Drake Madison. At one point, the motorist drove through the security gate of an apartment complex, knocking at least one bystander to the ground. The driver continued through the complex, then drove through another security gate, continuing the pursuit on city streets.

The suspect eventually drove south on the 5 Freeway, exited then immediately got back on the northbound freeway before exiting again in the Arleta area.

About 11:50 a.m., the motorist was heading north on Sharp Avenue, just south of the freeway, and then turned onto Terra Bella Street, where the truck stopped a minute later -- after running over a spike strip.

Police lined up patrol several cars a few feet behind the truck, and the motorist remained inside the vehicle, along with a small dog. A SWAT team was called to the scene, but officers positioned near the vehicle said the suspect could be seen slumped over in the truck, with blood coming from his nose and neck.

As a precaution, nearby Beachy Avenue Elementary Schools was placed on lockdown, along with Pacoima Middle School and Arleta High School. School police said classes on the campuses were continuing as usual, despite the lockdowns.

56-year-old colored man, James Robertson, received almost $400,000.00 in donations when the public learned he walked over 20 miles a day to work and back.... Now he says he has to move out of his black neighborhood before they kill him for his loot

The Detroit man whose determination to walk more than 20 miles a day to get to and from work inspired an online campaign that raised more than $350,000 for him abruptly moved on Tuesday after telling police that he did not feel safe with his newfound fortune.

According to the Detroit Free Press — whose profile of 56-year-old James Robertson led to the outpouring of donations and gifts, including a new car — the factory worker was moved to a temporary home after consulting with local law enforcement officials.

"We had a meeting with him [and] he expressed interest that he did not feel safe," Detroit Police Capt. Aric Tosqui told the newspaper. "People were actually asking him for money."

More than $350,000 was pledged for Robertson through a crowdfunding campaign launched by Evan Leedy, a 19-year-old college student who read the story and wanted to help a stranger in need. According to the paper, Robertson has yet to see any of the money raised and is expected to meet with financial advisers this week to discuss how the donations will be managed.

"I wanted to get it over with," Robertson said of the move. "There were so many factors involved."

In December, an 86-year-old Detroit man went missing after reportedly winning $20,000 in a lottery game, police said. Last week, he was found stabbed to death, and police charged a 20-year-old with his murder.

White Girl Jessica Albitz head butts her colored tax worker Alice Keener after she disrespected her and her husband!

An argument between two women descended into a violent brawl of hair pulling and punching after a customer headbutted a tax worker in Walmart.

Jessica Albitz claims Alice Keener, who works at a Jackson Hewitt stall within the store in La Porte, Texas, was rude to her and her husband the day before the fight broke out, when the couple came into the store to get their taxes prepared.

The next day, the two women got into another argument when Albitz returned to the store and that's when things turned violent.

“We got about 50 messages,” he told DNAinfo Chicago. “I only listened to a few. Some were gibberish ... saying things like ‘You’re an a------.’ A couple said, ‘You deserve to die.’”

Three in Custody after 2 Drug Dealers Shot & Wounded in a Section 8 Government Subsidized Apartment Complex in Wheeling IL - As Free Rent & Diversity kills another once quiet suburb

Two people were shot during a drug deal gone bad Tuesday night in northwest suburban Wheeling, according to police.

Two groups arranged to meet in the 400 block of West McHenry Road to buy and sell drugs, according to a statement from Wheeling police. Witnesses said the drug deal went bad and multiple people pulled out handguns and shot each other.

At 7 p.m., officers responded to the Walgreens at 1199 W. Dundee Rd. and found a male who had been shot, police said. About 40 minutes later, a second person showed up at a local hospital suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims suffered non-life-threatening wounds and are expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Three suspects are in custody and detectives are working with the Cook County state’s attorney’s office on possible charges, police said.

The DuPage County sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in locating an alleged drug dealer.

Felipe Ocampo, 58, is wanted for manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance more than 900 grams, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Ocampo is a 5-foot-8, 220-pound Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes, police said. His last known address was in the the 500 block of Lacy Avenue in Streamwood.

Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, arrested after 3 Camel Jockey Muslim students shot to death in N.C. with pig's blood soaked bullets

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police say three people have been shot to death at a condominium complex east of the University of North Carolina campus and a man has been arrested.

Chapel Hill police told local news outlets that Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, was arrested and has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. He is being held at the Durham County Jail.

Police were responding to a report of gunshots around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday when they found three people who were pronounced dead at the scene. The dead were identified as Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, of Chapel Hill; Yusor Mohammad, 21, of Chapel Hill; and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, of Raleigh.

Police said the investigation was continuing.
