Monroeville Mall will require those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult over 21 under a new policy to be implemented this month in the wake of a Saturday shooting that left three wounded.
Fliers detailing the planned “Youth Escort Policy” were handed out to employees today at the mall. It outlined the planned policy, saying it would be implemented by month’s end.
Allegheny County Police arrested Tarod Thornhill, 17, of Penn Hills at 3:15 a.m. today at a residence in Brackenridge. He is charged as an adult with aggravated assault, attempted homicide, and recklessly endangering other people and is now in the Allegheny County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18, according to court documents.
